Director/Tadpoles & Frogs Teacher
I joined the Sunny Days family in 2021 when I enrolled my 3-year-old son into the program. I immediately fell in love with the Co-Op Philosophy. The Co-Op structure provides a unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of the first school experience for my children and I could not have asked for a better foundation for my son and my family.
Despite being born and raised in Michigan, my teaching career began in Phoenix, Arizona where I taught both First and Second Grade. Early childhood teaching is where my heart lies. I love seeing the joy come out of students when they’ve understood something they’ve learned or discovered something new for the first time. They are so inquisitive and always pose thought provoking questions!
I live in Grosse Pointe Woods with my husband and two sons. We love to bike and explore new parks around Metro-Detroit. One of my favorite places to travel is Up North to visit Lake Michigan. In my spare time you can find me playing board games or reading.
Mrs. Wells holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education and a Master in Teaching and Curriculum with a focus on Literacy and Language Instruction from Michigan State University. She is additionally endorsed in Teaching English as a Second Language.

Caterpillar & Butterflies Teacher
I love preschool and all the exploring, learning and fun we have! I believe preschool is a special time and I enjoy observing how the preschoolers discover the wonder of the world around them. I love doing art projects, fun games and being silly with the children. I feel blessed that I get to spend my time with so much joy and laughter!
Before I began teaching at Sunny Days in 2018, I was a Director of Family & Children Enrichment Programs at a local community organization. I wore many hats there, so when the opportunity to teach at Sunny Days was offered, I jumped at the chance to work in a classroom with my favorite age, preschoolers!
I am a mom and a wife, and originally from Colorado. I have a daughter, a son and a dog. They are the loves of my life and keep me very busy! My son also attended Sunny Days, so it is a very special place for my family!
Mrs. Caverly originally studied Marketing, then switched to Early Childhood Education and Family Services.

Small Groups Teacher
I’m excited to be your small groups teacher for preschool. I joined the Sunny Days family in 2023. I’m passionate about guiding parents and young learners through their first steps in reading and phonics.
Working in small groups allows me to tailor my teaching to meet each child’s unique needs and interests, making learning both effective and enjoyable. In our small group sessions, I focus on creating a warm and engaging environment where children can explore letters, sounds, and early reading skills at their own pace. My goal is to build confidence and foster a love for reading by using fun activities and interactive lessons that capture their curiosity.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, crafting, playing board games, and spending quality time with my family. I’m looking forward to working with you and your child and making their literacy journey a memorable and exciting adventure!
Mrs. B. holds a degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught for 6 years in elementary education.

Music Together Specialist
I am so excited to continue teaching Music Together at Sunny Days! My own 4 children attended St. Clare Co-Op, which merged with Sunny Days in the summer of 2020. Our family had an exceptional experience being part of this preschool community, and I love how Music Together supports cooperative school principles.
Mrs. Boyd has a Bachelor in Music Education degree from Grove City College and is currently enrolled in a Master of Music Education and Piano Pedagogy degree program at Eastern Michigan University. She has graduate certification in Injury Preventative Piano Technique from Salem College.
